Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers recently conducted a two-day training programme aimed at enhancing the capabilities of trade union secretaries. The event, attended by over 30 trade union representatives, focused on improving administrative efficiency, streamlining processes, and leveraging digital tools.
Key objectives of the training programme included:
Improving the performance of trade union administrative bodies
Simplifying administrative procedures for secretaries
Enhancing file management and archiving systems
Developing skills in report and meeting minute preparation
Utilising social media platforms effectively for union activities
Participants expressed positive feedback on the program, highlighting the benefits of acquiring new skills in report writing, meeting management, and time management. The training also emphasized the importance of effective communication and the use of digital tools for improved efficiency.
This initiative underscores the General Federation of Oman Workers' commitment to strengthening the capacity of trade unions in the Sultanate and promoting effective labor practices.
