Weather Alert: Rain and flash floods likely in Oman

Muscat: According to the latest forecasts and analyses from the National Center of Early Warning Center from Multi Hazards, a low-pressure system is expected to bring significant rainfall to the Sultanate of Oman from Monday to Wednesday (August 19-21).

Most of Oman is expected to experience increased cloud cover.

Isolated rain is likely across the country, with heavier rainfall and thunderstorms in South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Dhofar, parts of Muscat, and the Al Hajar Mountains.

There is a high risk of flash floods in the affected areas due to heavy rainfall.
