Two arrested over housemaid death in Oman

Muscat: Two people have been arrested on charges of assault leading to death of a housemaid in Ibra, Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported on Monday.

An ROP source in North Al Sharqiyah governorate said that the maid was found dead in an under-construction building in the wilayat due to a head injury, according to the medical report.

The workers at the site informed ROP that the housemaid came to the building before her death and was severely fatigued.

Following investigations, the two accused were arrested and sent to the public prosecutor.
