Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an important advisory urging Omani citizens to 'return home immediately' from tense areas and countries due to the ongoing military events in some areas of the region.
The security situation along the Lebanon-Israel border is highly volatile at the moment and the Israeli aggression may escalate further.
The Ministry said in a statement :"In light of the current events in some tense areas of the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all Omani citizens present in or near these areas and countries to immediately return to the homeland and avoid travelling there during this period."
"The Ministry also urges citizens to contact the relevant Omani embassies for any inquiries or to provide the necessary support and assistance in the event of any emergency."
"Citizens can visit the Ministry’s official website or download the mobile application to contact the embassies and obtain the latest information," the statement added.
