Public invited to select topics for “Together We Progress” forum

Muscat: The voting stage for selection of topics to be debated during the 3rd edition of "Together We Progress" Forum began today.

The forum is organised by the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers to enhance interaction and communication between the government and society. Voting will continue until 23 October 2024.

Voters can participate in the ‘topic selection process’ through an electronic questionnaire available via the link (https://2u.pw/QfKI6iDd).

The questionnaire identifies three themes, each of which comprises different topics.

The first theme titled “Economy and Development” includes the topics of: “Salient features of the 11th Five-Year Plan”, “Economic diversification efforts”, "Entrepreneurship and local content".

The second theme titled “Private Sector and Investment”, includes the topics of: “Role of private sector in generating employment opportunities”, “Investment in future technologies and artificial intelligence (AI)” and “Efforts of Oman Investment Authority in developing local and foreign investments”.

The third theme titled “Development of governorates”, covers the topics of: “Local economy”, “Sustainable cities” and “Urban planning”.

The forum seeks to bring members of society closer to decision-makers through direct meetings and open dialogue. It enables members of the public to learn about development policies, programmes and government initiatives, offering them an opportunity to express their opinions, submit their proposals and share their interests and ideas with officials in a participatory environment based on interaction.
