Muscat: The first edition of Oman Endowment Conference will kick off on 16 December at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The two-day event seeks to highlight innovation and sustainability in the endowment sector.
Abdulaziz bin Masoud Al Ghafri, Assistant Director General of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, said during a press conference that the conference aims to provide innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to the realization of the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Al Ghafri added that the conference also seeks to enable endowment institutions to take the lead in achieving development and consolidating the role of endowment as an effective tool to support the national economy.
For his part, Eng. Mohammed bin Salim Al Busaidi, CEO of Bausher Endowment Foundation, said that the conference will see the participation of more than 20 local and international experts. He added that the event will include specialized workshops to provide workers in the endowment sector with necessary practical skills and tools, including “Governance, Performance Indicators, Risk Management, and Compliance in the Endowment Sector (GPRC)”, a session on “Contemporary Endowment Investment” and a session on “Measuring Social Return on Investment”.
It is worth noting that the conference is organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in cooperation with the Bausher Endowment Foundation.
