Muscat: Oman defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 to book a spot in the 26th Gulf Cup final on Tuesday.
An inspired performance from a ten-man Oman team saw them reach the second successive Gulf Cup final after a thrilling 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia in Kuwait on Tuesday.
Arshad Al Alawi's sensational goal in the 74th minute gave a 10-man Oman a 1-0 lead after Al Mandhar Al Alawi was sent off in the 34th minute of the match. Ali Al Busaidi made it 2-0 in the 84th minute and despite a goal in the 87th minute from Mohammed Kanno, Rasheed Jaber's Red Warriors held firm to reach the final where they will play the winner of Bahrain and Kuwait on January 4.
