Pakistan navy ships visit Muscat to enhance bilateral relations
Muscat: Pakistan Navy Training Flotilla, including Pakistan navy ships Tabuk and Rahnaward (Sail Training Ship) visited Muscat from 13 January to 16 January 2025.
The visiting ships celebrated the fifth accession anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
Greetings and warm wishes were also extended from the government and people of Pakistan for His Majesty’s continued success and guidance in leading the Sultanate of Oman to further glory and development.
The other objectives of visit were to generate goodwill and enhance mutual ties between the two countries.
The Pakistan navy flotilla was led by Commodore Rashid Mahmood Shiekh as Mission Commander. During the stay, the mission commander along with commanding officers of Pakistani ships met various officials of the Royal Navy of Oman where various topics of mutual interests and bilateral cooperation between the defence forces of both the countries were discussed.
A reception was hosted on-board Pakistan navy ship Tabuk which was attended by diplomatic community, military attaches, officers from Sultan
Armed Forces and local dignitaries.
Other activities included exchange visits and professional interactions between cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy and Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy to promote mutual learning and training.
The visit is expected to fulfill aim of strengthening the bonds of friendship between Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan in general and armed forces of two countries in particular.
The visit will also contribute towards improving cooperation in maritime security operations domain.
