Official Ramadan working hours for public and private sectors announced in Oman

Muscat : The Sultanate of Oman has announced the official working hours for the holy month of Ramadan, 1446 AH.

For units within the civil administrative apparatus of the state, standard working hours will be five continuous hours, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Heads of units may implement flexible working hours, allowing schedules between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, tailored to the unit's operational requirements and based on employee arrival and departure times. Remote work will be permitted for eligible positions, provided that at least 50% of the unit's staff maintains a physical presence in the workplace.

    In the private sector, working hours for Muslim employees will be reduced to six hours per day, with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
