Dhofar Arab Film Forum inaugurated

Salalah: Third Dhofar Arab Film Forum was inaugurated at Atena Land Park in Salalah under the patronage of Dr. Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board.
The forum, which will continue until August 20, is being organised by the Oman Film Society (OFS).
The Omani and Iranian delegations will also take part in a symposium at the University of Dhofar. In addition, there will be other discussions involving participants, which will shed light on technical aspects of movie-making.
Mirbat Society
Participants of the forum will also visit the Mirbat Society for a special session. OFS will also make use of the occasion to create awareness about its works. Omani, Iranian and Indian movies will also be screened at a theatre in Salalah as part of the forum.
The opening ceremony was attended by Hojattolah Ayyoubi , Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Head of Iranian Cinema Organisation, Fayiz bin Mohammed Al Kindi, OFC Chairman and Dr. Khalid bin Abdulraheem Al Zadjali, OFC Advisor.
Meanwhile, activities of the Iranian Cultural, Film and Tourist Exhibition began at the Municipality Recreational Centre
in Salalah.
Activities of the exhibition began under the patronage of Dr. Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board, in the presence of Sheikh Salim bin Ufait Al Shanfari, Head of Dhofar Municipality and some officials of the Iranian Embassy.
