Education Ministry revises second term evaluation schedule for schools in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Education has issued a ministerial decision (No. 82/2025) that modifies the annual evaluation timeline for government and private schools adhering to the government evaluation system for the 2024/2025 academic year. These amendments are intended to better serve the needs of the public and enhance the assessment procedures.

As per the decision, the evaluation period for the second term and any re-tests for students in Grades 1 to 12 will now begin on 1st June 2025 and conclude on 10th July 2025. This revised schedule applies to government schools, private schools following the government evaluation system, general diploma students, and adult education diploma students for the second semester.

The ministerial decision supersedes any previous conflicting regulations and mandates that all relevant bodies implement the updated timetable effectively.
