Customs thwarts drug smuggling operation at Sarfait border

Muscat: Oman Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle 8.147 kilograms of hashish into the Sultanate of Oman. 

Oman Customs said in a statement :"Customs at Sarfait border crossing arrested a citizen coming from the Republic of Yemen to the Sultanate of Oman for attempting to smuggle 8.147 kilograms of hashish, which was hidden inside the spare tire in the trunk of the vehicle."
