Conference on foreseeing future in leadership, management kicks off in Muscat

Muscat: The National Plans and Achievements Conference, titled "Foreseeing the Future and Achieving Ambitions," began on Tuesday in Muscat to discuss key themes such as strategic planning, sustainable development, and enhancing cooperation between government and private institutions.

The event is organised by Media Thought Firm in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour.

The two-day conference highlights best practices in leadership and management by showcasing successful experiences in institutional performance development, notable national plans, and achievements. It also examines success factors and their impact on sustainable development.

The conference addresses the role of modern technology in innovation, improving institutional efficiency, and methodologies for future foresight to develop long-term strategies for tackling challenges and leveraging future opportunities.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Salem Muslim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, and attended by a group of national leaders, experts, and specialists from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

The conference targets leaders from public and private sector companies, government executives, strategic planning managers, professionals in foresight and planning centers, bank and financial institution managers, as well as internal audit and human resources directors.

The event highlights successful national experiences in planning and implementation, fostering collaboration among national entities to exchange expertise, and presenting innovative strategies for future foresight.

Today’s agenda featured three panel discussions: The first on sustainable development and international partnerships, the second titled "Vision and Working Toward the Big Goal," and the third on "Protecting Society from Financial Fraud Through AI-Driven Technological Advancements."

Meanwhile, tomorrow (Wednesday) will include five panel discussions focusing on digital transformation, planning, and future foresight, presented by a number of experts and specialists.
