Khoula Hospital performs emergency spine surgery

Muscat: A medical team from Khoula Hospital’s Spine Unit, in collaboration with the Neurosurgery Department at Nizwa Hospital, successfully performed an urgent surgical intervention to remove a tumour from the upper thoracic vertebra and to stabilise the spine of a patient at Nizwa Hospital.

The General Directorate of Khoula Hospital said: “This collaboration and integration in providing healthcare services, including specialised medical care, come as part of the decentralisation policy adopted by the Ministry of Health, represented by the General Directorate of Khoula Hospital.”
