Muscat: An expat has been arrested for possessing counterfeit currency and promoting it by exchanging it for legal tender in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
ROP said in a statement: "South Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command arrested an Indian national for possessing counterfeit currency and promoting it by exchanging it for legal tender. The tools used in the fraudulent operations were also seized. Legal procedures are being completed."
