Al Buraimi: The Ministry of Health on Sunday celebrated Al Buraimi Hospital’s obtaining the "International Accreditation Certificate", both for being the first hospital in the Sultanate of Oman in the "Mother-Friendly Initiative" and for occupying second place in the "Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative".
Dr. Aisha Rashid Al Maqbali, Director of Al Buraimi Hospital, said that the accomplishment was the outcome of collective efforts and constant cooperation among all hospital staff, who, she added, did everything possible to provide the best care for mothers and newborns in a safe, supportive and highly humanitarian climate.
On her turn, Dr. Badria Mohsen Al Rashdi, Director General of Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, expressed her delight at the celebration of the national achievement, which, she said, serves as a source of pride for all.
At the closing of the ceremony, Sheikh Rashid Said Al Kalbani, Wali of Al Buraimi (the chief guest), presented the “International Accreditation Certificate” to the management of Al Buraimi Hospital in its capacity as the first "Mother-Friendly Hospital" and second hospital to receive accreditation as a "Baby-Friendly Hospital" at the level of governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
