Over 40 winners of ‘We Are Oman Award’ felicitated

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation on Monday felicitated more than 40 winners in 13 competitions held within the context of the second edition of “We Are Oman” educational programme for the academic year 2024-2025.

The programme covers five main domains: The intellectual domain, the literary domain, the artistic domain, the media innovation domain and the electronic innovation domain.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary General at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.

The event seeks to encourage higher education institutions to compete with each other in organizing student events, identify the institutions that excel in implementing the recommendations of “We Are Oman” educational programme and contribute to the support of student activity councils, with the prime objective of shaping the university student’s personality and inculcating the concepts of citizenship and innovation in higher education institutions.

“We Are Oman” Award is an annual competition supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. It stems from a conviction in the significance of supporting university students, hone their talents and equip them with skills needed for achieving success and progress at the national, professional and personal levels—to help them keep pace with the spirit of the age, while at the same time preserving their identity and culture.
