Muscat: The Health Affairs Department at Dhofar Municipality, represented by the Health Control Section, carried out an inspection campaign targeting a number of furniture shops in the Wilayat of Salalah.
The campaign aimed to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and preserve the city’s public appearance. During the inspection, five shops were fined for visual distortions caused by the accumulation of used furniture outside their premises, as well as for utilizing public areas for storage without a valid permit.
Shop owners were instructed to rectify the violations immediately, and legal measures were taken against the offenders. The Municipality reaffirmed its continued field monitoring to prevent the recurrence of such violations in the future.
