“Full Scale Shield Exercise 2” to be conducted at Sultan Qaboos Port on 11 December

Muscat--- Acting in cooperation with partners in the maritime transport sector, Omani security services and government departments concerned will carry out a national drill codenamed “Full Scale Shield Exercise 2” on 11 December 2025.

The exercise, which will take place at Sultan Qaboos Port in Muttrah, seeks to enhance institutional integration and boost the efficiency of the system of emergency response in Omani ports in a manner that achieves the effectiveness of emergency plans.

The exercise will raise the level of coordination among the participating parties when dealing with maritime transport incidents. It will also ensure the application of the best international practices in the ports of the Sultanate of Oman.
