
Muscat: In a significant move that redefines the bilateral landscape, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have witnessed the historic signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Finalised during the Prime Minister’s official visit to the Sultanate, the agreement marks a pivotal milestone, signaling a new chapter of deep-rooted economic and strategic cooperation between the two nations.
The presence of both His Majesty the Sultan and Prime Minister Modi at the signing ceremony underscores the high-level political commitment to expanding long-term partnerships. The CEPA provides a structured framework designed to significantly enhance trade flows.
The agreement is set to create a wealth of opportunities across a broad spectrum of critical sectors, including renewable energy, logistics, manufacturing, technology, and services.
