Minsk: A delegation from the National Museum and Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) visited the Belarusian State University (BSU) on Sunday as part of the activities accompanying “Oman Day” in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.

The delegation was led by HH Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at SQU and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum.

The visit began with a meeting involving Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and Dr. Andrei Korol, Rector of Belarusian State University.

Discussions focused on strengthening ties between SQU and Belarusian academic institutions; enhancing Arabic language education and cultural exchange programmes; facilitating student exchanges and reciprocal visits for researchers and developing collaborative frameworks to serve the mutual interests of both friendly nations.

The delegation also toured the Faculty of International Relations.

As part of the knowledge-sharing program, Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, delivered a lecture titled “Oman at the Crossroads of Civilisational Communication.”
