
Muscat; The Muscat Nights 2026 events have drawn nearly two million visitors since their launch on January 1, reflecting the festival’s outstanding success and its growing appeal across the Sultanate. The season featured a rich mix of events, programs, and high-quality activities, while also providing 500 job opportunities for Omani job seekers.
A total of 168 events were held across 24 main and secondary venues, highlighting an integrated winter-season vision that combined entertainment, culture, and economic activity.
This success was supported by extensive promotional efforts carried out by Muscat Municipality and designed to engage diverse segments of society.
Qurum Natural Park recorded the highest visitor turnout among the seven permanent event sites.
The park hosted captivating nighttime drone shows, where hundreds of synchronized drones created moving light formations inspired by Muscat’s cultural identity.
The venue also featured the Light Festival, transforming the park’s lake into an open-air theater with choreographed fountain displays, music, and smart lighting, alongside Candy Land, an interactive attraction blending play and learning.
Al Amerat Public Park ranked second in visitor numbers, welcoming large crowds of various nationalities. Highlights included the Heritage Village, which presented Omani identity in a modern format, and the Craft Market, showcasing traditional Omani crafts. These attractions supported productive families and reinforced national cultural identity while contributing to local economic activity.
The festival programme included 25 cultural activities across 11 locations, such as the Cultural Village, visual arts pavilions, and exhibitions dedicated to plastic and graphic arts.
On the sports front, 13 local and international tournaments were organised, including the Muscat Nights International Billiards and Snooker Championship, the Muscat Nights International Chess Championship—featuring 270 players from 35 countries—the 12th International Shotokan Karate Championship, and the Oman International Drift Championship, strengthening youth and sports engagement.
Theatrical performances also formed a key pillar of the festival, with 12 diverse productions—including comedy and children’s plays—staged across seven venues in Muscat Governorate, providing a platform for creative exchange and emerging talent.
Muscat Nights 2026 events were held at multiple locations across the governorate, including Qurum Natural Park, Al Amerat Public Park, the Oman Automobile Association, the Royal Opera House Muscat, Seeb Beach, Qurayyat, Wadi Al Khoudh, and several shopping centers, ensuring wide accessibility and strong attendance from across the Sultanate.
