Muscat--- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace today to Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the audience, the guest conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran to His Majesty the Sultan. The Iranian President also wished the people of Oman further progress and prosperity.
On his turn, His Majesty asked the guest to convey his greetings to President Pezeshkian, wishing Iran further stability and prosperity.
The audience discussed the latest developments of the Iranian-American negotiations. It also addressed pathways toward achieving a balanced and equitable agreement for all parties.
It also underscored the critical importance of resuming dialogue and returning to the negotiating table to bridge perspectives and resolve outstanding differences through peaceful means. Such efforts are fundamental to promoting and sustaining peace and security both in the region and the world at large.
The audience was attended by Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office.
