Muscat--- The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today signed an agreement with Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) to establish and develop an integrated tourism complex in Al Bustan area, Governorate of Muscat, to the tune of RO 150 million.
The 138,000-sqm project is scheduled to be completed in four years.
The agreement was signed by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Eng. Ayad Ali Al Balushi, CEO of Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group).
The Minister pointed out that the project assumes significance due to the fact that it lies in the centre of Muscat Governorate, lending strong backing to tourism facilities in the governorate.
The project is compatible with the geography of Muscat and its mountainous nature, said the Minister, adding that a distinctive feature of the facility will be a marina that will enhance yacht tourism.
The project seeks to provide an integrated destination under the management of the global operator "Four Seasons". It comprises a 200-room world-class hotel, 91 branded luxury freehold residential units, a marina, a yacht club, restaurants and retail outlets, as well as service facilities and advanced infrastructure designed to meet the aspirations of visitors and residents.
The agreement’s signing affirms the commitment of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to enhance the infrastructure of the tourism sector, contribute to the in-country value (ICV) and generate employment for Omani citizens—all as part of efforts to achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
