New Delhi: Due to the current situation, where some examinations have been conducted and others have not, an alternative assessment method has been developed to ensure fair and accurate evaluation of students.
Student Categories Identified
Students are grouped based on the number of exams they appeared for:
Students who appeared in all subjects
Students who appeared in 4 subjects
Students who appeared in 3 subjects
Students who appeared in 2 subjects
Students who appeared in 1 subject
Students whose all 5 exams are pending
Students whose all 6 exams are pending

Assessment Structure (Class XII)
Each subject is evaluated out of 100 marks, divided into:
Theory Exam: 80 / 70 / 60 / 50 / 30 marks
Practical 20/30/40/50/ 70
Alternative Assessment Scheme
(a) Students who appeared in all subjects
Results will be declared based on their actual exam performance.
(b) Compartment Candidates (1 subject only)
If the student appeared in the exam → Result based on performance.
If the exam was not conducted → Student will get a chance to appear in supplementary exams (July 2026).
(c) Students with Pending Exams (1 to 6 subjects)
Their results will be calculated using school-based assessments:
For subjects with 80 or 70 marks (Theory):
Schools will submit marks from:
Quarterly exams
Half-yearly exams
Pre-board exams
Best of the three will be considered.
For subjects with 60, 50, or 30 marks (Theory):
Marks will be taken from the Final Pre-Board exam.
If absent in final pre-board:
Marks from an earlier pre-board will be used.
(d) Students who changed exam centres (including international cases)
Results will be based on actual exam performance.
(e) Final Decision Authority
The Board may take any additional decisions if required to ensure fair result declaration.
