Oman Customs thwart large tobacco smuggling attempt at Hadaf border

Muscat: Customs authorities at the Hadaf border crossing have successfully intercepted a sophisticated attempt to smuggle a large quantity of tobacco derivatives into the country. During a thorough inspection of a vehicle, officers discovered approximately 96 kilograms (specifically 95.88 kg) of prohibited tobacco products.

Oman Customs said in a statement :"Customs at the Hadaf border crossing thwarted an attempt to smuggle quantities of tobacco derivatives, weighing (95.88) kilograms, which were professionally hidden inside the vehicle. The necessary legal measures were taken."
