
Muscat: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Tuesday organised a workshop to discuss the Chamber’s new regulatory bylaws to develop the internal work system and enhance the efficiency of institutional performance.
The regulatory bylaws are in line with the requirements of the current economic stage and to boost the OCCI’s role in representing the private sector.
Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI Board of Directors, said that the new regulatory bylaws constitute a significant step forward in enhancing the OCCI’s role in serving the private sector and enabling it to keep pace with global economic developments.
The new regulatory bylaws contribute to raising the efficiency of institutional action and developing the services provided to the private sector in accordance with standard practices, said Al Rawas.
For his part, Zakaria bin Abdullah Al Saadi, CEO of the Chamber, said in a statement that the new regulatory bylaws represent a milestone in causing change in mechanisms of executive management.
“These regulatory bylaws were designed in accordance with the highest institutional standards and in line with the requirements of digital transition and the automation of procedures,” Al Saadi added.
He pointed out that these regulations will help enhance the efficiency of internal operations, accelerate decision-making and streamline the work environment, in addition to raising the quality of services rendered to members.
Al Saadi stressed that the Chamber is committed to developing integrated digital work systems that support institutional integration and achieve operational sustainability.
