
Doha: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, accompanied by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, offered condolences and sympathies to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, on the demise of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
HH Sayyid Shihab conveyed the condolences and sympathies of His Majesty the Sultan to Sheikh Tamim, Al Thani family and the brotherly Qatari people on this profound loss, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa mercy and forgiveness, and to rest his soul in peace in paradise.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for his sincere condolences and sympathies, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him a long life, and bestow upon him good health and well‑being.
HH Sayyid Shihab was accompanied by an official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary‑General at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers; HH Sayyid Lo’ay bin Ghaleb Al Said, Secretary‑General of the Diwan of Royal Court; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information; Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism; and Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.
Upon arrival at the Amiri Hall at Hamad International Airport, HH Sayyid Shihab and the accompanying delegation were received by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, along with a number of senior Qatari officials.
