Muscat: Zeeshan Maqsood came up with a fine all-round display as Assarain defeated Passage to India by 68 runs and to record their second successive victory in the Oman Cricket Premier Division.
Assarain, who began the season with a 35-run victory over Al Turki NMC, batted first and put on 255 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
Opening batsman Zeeshan Maqsood smashed 93 runs in 118 deliveries to power Assarain to an impressive total. His innings included eight fours and a six. S. Akram contributed 46 valuable runs.
For Passage to India, Mohammed Bilal bagged four wickets while Jaymin Tailor took two.
In reply, Passage to India were bowled out for 187 in 46.5 overs. Asif Khan scored 57 runs while Mohammed Saeed made 25 runs.
While Ahmed Raza claimed three wickets, Zeeshan Maqsood chipped in with two scalps and Kaleemullah took bagged two wickets.
