#OmanPride: Tanfeedh initiative picks logo crafted by Omani hands

Muscat: Boosting the country’s economy needs determination, strategy and team work, but it all starts with a logo.
Designed by local marketing agency Bayan Tebyan, and two young Omani girls, the theme and logo for the National Programme for Enhancing Economic Diversification—Tanfeedh— stood out at a major event held on Sunday.
Sky-blue coloured pattern-coated brochures, cushions and even bean bags were displayed inside the Institute of Public Administration in Al Khuwair.
Challenging a deadline, the girls successfully added colour and spirit to the big rooms and halls.
In an exclusive interview, designers Farah Al Lawati and Nabila Al Habsi revealed the secrets behind the logo they designed, which has been selected as the official logo for the national initiative.
“The logo, which reads Tanfeedh in Arabic and English, demonstrates the executive power and unique proposition of the programme,” Al Lawati explained proudly.
“The sharp edges of the logo spotlight order, clarity and strong will. In addition, their multidimensional relationship reflects diversity and integration,” she added.
Al Lawati, the head of the branding team told the Times of Oman that the colour blue represents transparency, credibility and positivity, precisely what the programme focuses on.
The simple, yet creative theme brings to mind the practical concept of the whole Five-Year Development Plan.
Talking about the luminous pattern, Al Habsi said it represents new beginnings and the different shades of emerging light reflect diversity and harmony.
Al Lawati, a graduate of the American University in Sharjah and Al Habsi, a graduate of the Scientific College for Design, have previously worked with the Information Technology Authority and are currently freelancing for local events.
