Muscat: The Ministry of Interior announced today the preliminary lists of candidates for the fourth term of municipal council elections.
The lists comprise 803 candidates including 16 women and were released via the "Intikhab" app and the elections website (elections.om).
The Ministry noted that objections may be raised against names included in the preliminary candidate lists. Such objections must be submitted via the "Intikhab" app or the elections website (elections.om) within five days of the announcement date, stating the grounds for the objection and attaching supporting documentation. A decision regarding the objection will be issued within ten days following the expiration of the submission period.
