The award aims to promote innovation and sustainability and to raise the efficiency and competitiveness of the logistics sector in the Sultanate of Oman.

The award seeks to encourage institutions and companies operating in logistics activities to showcase and exchange best practices, experiences and innovative solutions, thereby contributing to the development of logistics operations and services, raising operational efficiency and enhancing the competitiveness of the sector, in addition to supporting small and medium enterprises operating in the sector.

The award allows participation by institutions operating in a number of logistics activities, including warehouses and storage, shipping and vessel line agents, air, sea and land transport, customs brokers, ports and free zones, ground handling, and cargo agents.

The award comprises five main categories, namely Omanisation, health and safety, net zero, continuous improvement and innovation, and Omani products and services. These reflect the priorities associated with developing the sector, enhancing its sustainability and strengthening its competitiveness.

The Omanisation category targets initiatives and practices that contribute to raising the Omanisation rate and enhancing employment and qualification opportunities for Omani talent in the logistics sector. The health and safety category focuses on reducing accidents and risks and promoting a culture of occupational safety. The net zero category addresses the reduction of emissions and the enhancement of environmental sustainability. The continuous improvement and innovation category focuses on the deployment of innovative technologies and solutions to raise efficiency and productivity. The Omani products and services category focuses on promoting the use of local products and services and supporting local content.

Applications for participation will be accepted until 30 January 2027 through the award's dedicated website "www.logistics-bpa.com". The results for the competing companies will be announced on Logistics Day.
