Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) on Wednesday renewed its partnership with the Muscat Media Group (MMG) for the 2016-17 Season.
"The Partnership is being fulfilled via Oman’s top media outlets in Times of Oman and Shabiba newspapers," the Sultanate's soccer governing body said in a statement.
The partnership is a strategic relationship between MMG and the OFA and helps create awareness and publicity for the OFA and for the MMG brands. MMG promotes the National Team as well as domestic competitions as it seeks to support and engage with fans of Oman’s most popular sport.
MMG will also help the OFA with reaching out to fans farther via meaningful and active engagement across its various and popular digital properties. It shows a commitment from both parties to create value and an engagement space for fans on a virtual medium.
“MMG is an important strategic partner for the OFA and we look forward to working with them over the 2016-17 season. Their reach has helped us get the football message to more fans and we hope to be able to give every fan the opportunity to be aware of how they can engage with football in Oman,” said Alister D’Silva, Head of Brand, Marketing and Events at the OFA.
Richard Pekanham, Chief Sales Officer, also spoke about the partnership renewal said: “Our strategic partnership with the OFA further strengthens the important relationship we have with the people of Oman, many of whom are passionate about football. Aligning our leading print, online and digital TV channels with the OFA will greatly enhance the coverage which fans depend on.”
