Muscat: Next Tuesday, the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit will present, in its report on the first quarter of Oman Vision 2040, a comprehensive reading of the outcome of the first five years of the Vision, in addition to the most prominent updates and efforts in 2026, including the most notable transformations, projects and achieved results, the level of progress in the targeted indicators, and an outlook on the requirements of the next phase.
The report comes as a continuation of the series of periodic reports that have accompanied the implementation of the Vision since its launch.
The first report, issued in 2021, focused on introducing the components of the Vision and the national programmes and building the follow-up system, while subsequent reports followed up on the implementation of programmes and initiatives and the level of progress in indicators, and monitored the actual performance of indicators compared to targets. These reports contributed to identifying areas of progress and aspects that still need development, and enabled society to follow the Vision implementation journey.
The issuance of this year's report coincides with Oman Vision 2040 entering its second quarter and the launch of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
This phase builds on what was achieved during the past five years, and focuses on accelerating performance in areas requiring further improvement, enhancing economic diversification and financial sustainability, developing national capabilities, expanding private sector participation, and achieving comprehensive and balanced development in the governorates.
