200 kilos unhygenic meat seized from Muttrah

Muscat: Two hundred kilos of meat stored in unhygienic conditions in Muttrah was seized by Muscat Municipality officials, the authority tweeted on its official Twitter handle.
“The meat was stored by expatriates under unhygienic conditions. Six refrigerators used for storing the meat also have been seized,” the authority’s tweet read adding that legal procedures against the violators will be initiated.
Seeb raid
Last week, three houses used as kitchens to prepare food for expatriate workers and restaurants in Seeb were raided by Muscat Municipality officials. In September also, houses in Seeb were raided by the Muscat Municipality for being used as kitchens, warehouses and housing for workers.
