Indian School Al Ghubra celebrates Annual Day

Muscat: Indian School Al Ghubra (ISG) held its 26th Annual Day on November 3 to celebrate the talent of students of the kindergarten section and Classes 1 and 2.
The programme commenced with the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India.
Dr. Madhurima Nundy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The cultural extravaganza began with the tiny tots of KG 1 and KG 2 staging the play ‘Cinderella.’ There was a whirl of movement on the stage as the little ones performed graceful dances, waving pompoms and ribbons to the tune of lilting music.
Eye-catching
The colourful and eye-catching costumes and smiling faces made it an enchanting experience for the parents and well-wishers, who had come in large numbers to witness the show.
The students of Classes 1 and 2 left a deep impact on the audience with the Musical ‘Hold on Together’ as it conveyed a message most relevant to the times we live in. They imaginatively presented the dire situation the Mother Earth is in at the moment due to various forms of pollution.
They also presented remedies to fight air, water, land and noise pollution in a very creative and colourful manner. The scene of the happy forest depicted by students frolicking gracefully on stage, and dressed as trees, flowers, butterflies, zebras, bear and rabbits, was a feast for the eyes and ears. The message that the international community should come together to save planet Earth was conveyed in a forceful and visually appealing manner.
The delightful and memorable evening concluded with a vote of thanks.
