Muscat: An Omani mountaineer Sulaiman bin Hamoud Al Na’ebi climbed the highest peak in the western hemisphere.
Sulaiman Al Na’ebi climbed 7,000 metres high Aconcagua in Argentine and hoisted the Sultanate flag and the picture of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
He explained that the expedition began on December 7 and lasted 12 days during which he managed to reach the summit on December.
He added that this is a personal initiative which came to his mind after representing the Sultanate in climbing the fourth highest mountain “Kilimanjaro” in Tanzania.
