#OmanPride: All the fun of the fair

Muscat: With just a week until the Muscat Festival concludes, visitors to the festival, especially children, are using the opportunity to learn about the Omani culture and enjoy various attractions.

Children have a variety of options, such as the consumer exhibition where they can buy toys, electronic games or ride on roller coasters and bump cars.
It is also a chance for children to get a glimpse of the culture and traditions of Bedouin villages in the Sultanate.
Wala Hassan from Bahrain said she attends the festival every time she visits relatives in Oman. “I have visited the festival many times with my family. I especially like the Cultural Village, which portrays Omani traditions,” said the child.
Mohammad Al Abri noted, “My father teaches us something new every time we visit Muscat Festival. It’s fun to learn how the Bedouins lived in the desert, which also makes you proud of your culture.”
Shahd Hassan from Bahrain fell in love with Oman when she first visited the country and attends the Muscat Festival every year.
“We visited all the events in the festival, at both Amerat Park and Naseem Gardens, and I realised that there is so much to do here. I especially enjoy the electronic games,” said Hassan. Riham Hamad from Seeb said this year’s festival was better than last year.
“This year the festival is different from last year, and it’s much better, as well. We have access to a lot of games at reasonable costs and it is well organised. I am thankful to the organisers,” said Riham.
The Muscat Festival concludes this week.
