Muscat: A citizen was arrested for possession of 130 psychotropic capsules in Muttrah, officials announced.
The ROP Directorate General for the Control of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested a citizen on charges of possession and abuse of narcotic substances.
The individual was arrested in Muttrah, with 130 capsules of psychotropic drugs and a quantity of marijuana on his person.
"The Royal Oman Police appreciates the efforts made by citizens and residents in combating drug abuse, and calls on all parties to cooperate more, and to inform the police of any acts involving drug and psychotropic substances by contacting the hotline (1444) or the emergency number (9999)," the ROP said.
