20 infiltrators deported by Royal Oman Police

Muscat: Twenty people from various Asian nationalities were deported yesterday.
A statement by Royal Omani Police said, “A police boat apprehended a boat with twenty individuals from various nationalities who tried to sneak into the country by ocean, off the coasts of Wilayat Saham.” ROP’s spokesperson said, “The location and time given are something of an average, but the individuals came from different nationalities, on different boats, from various directions and at different times and dates.
“These were not all people caught in the same incidents. But we did send them out together. They go to a place close to their final destination, where proper procedure takes its course.
“We are not authorised to give out the specific nationalities due to issue of foreign affairs, but these people were a mix of different Asian nationalities.”
