Two day workshop on fear of public speaking to be held in Oman

Muscat: A two day workshop to tackle fear of public speaking is being held on August 22nd and 29th.

Glossophobia, otherwise known as the fear of public speaking, is an issue many people experience in their social and professional lives. Whispers of Serenity Clinic for Mental Wellness recognises the fear and anxiety which accompanies speaking in front of a large and often unfamiliar crowd, and has thus organised the workshop titled ‘Where has my voice gone?’

This is the second workshop of the clinic’s recently launched summer programme ‘Let's Talk’, which launched its first workshop ‘I am a bride’ last month. Mental health problems are a growing public health concern. This year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) chose ‘Depression: let’s talk’ as its annual theme, reiterating the fact that the lack of communication and expression surrounding mental health topics is a global issue.

The clinic’s Founder and Mental Health Consultant, Janab Al Sayidda Basma Al Said will help people address their anxiety, understand their body language, as well as adjust their tone of voice and use appropriate key words to deliver a successful speech and presentation.

Early bird registration is open until the 11th of August.
