Oman crime: Four arrested for OMR700 fuel station robbery

Muscat: Four Omanis have been arrested for assaulting and robbing a petrol pump worker in Shinas, according to the Royal Omani Police (ROP).
"The Shinas police station, in cooperation with the Department of Criminal Investigation led by the North Batinah police, managed to arrest four citizens on charges of looting and assault on a fuel station worker in the Ajeeb region of Shinas," an official at the ROP said.
The source confirmed that the accused entered the office of the worker, beat him and robbed him of more than OMR700 and fled.
"The search and investigation efforts resulted in the arrest of the accused who confessed to committing the crime. They were referred to the Public Prosecution," the official stated.
