Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has denied rumours of a person being killed in Sohar, that was being shared on social media.
In an online statement, the ROP said, "There is no truth to what is being circulated through social media about a killing in Khour al-Sayabi in the Wilayah of Sohar."
Earlier this year, social media rumors of foul play after a body was found in Saham had also been denied by the ROP.
Rumours of foul play had been circulating on social media but an ROP spokesman clarified that the death was the result of natural causes.
