Muscat: Rain is expected to fall in the coastal areas of Oman within the next few hours, according to the National Centre for Early Warning and Risks at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.
"In addition to the possibility of a significant decrease in temperatures associated with the fresh wind, there will be more clouds on most of the coast of the Sultanate with the increasing probability of late night to early morning cloud over Al-Dahirah and Al-Wusta Governorates," the PACA said.
Temperatures will be 29.9 degrees maximum in Salalah and 3.4 degrees minimum in Saiq, 27 degrees in Suwaiq and Zamaim, and 10 degrees in Haima, Nizwa, Joba and Bahla.
In its 24-hour outlook, Oman's meteorology department said there will be mainly clear to partly cloudy skies along Oman Sea coastal areas with chances of clouds developing over Muscat and Musandam during the afternoon, and the chance of low level clouds or fog patches late night to early morning along parts of the Oman sea and Arabian sea coastal areas.
