Seminar on child friendly schools held

Muscat: The Directorate General for Environmental Affairs at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs organised the first seminar on the schools selected by the Ministry to be role models for the Child Friendly Schools (CFS).
The seminar on sustainable agricultural environment aims at raising public awareness of citizens and residents in the Sultanate of the efforts made by the Ministry to involve all sectors of society and cooperate with the different public and private organisations to promote environmental culture. The first day included theoretical presentations and the second day included fields visits to implement the environmental requirements at the CFSs.
The efforts include establishing a sustainable environmental farm at the selected schools.
The FSCs model is the start of a plan which the Ministry intends to roll over in all governorates in the Sultanate. — ONA
