Muscat: The activities of the second version of Desert Guide Caravan journey, organised from December 15 to 18 at the Wilayat of Bidiyah in the Sharqiyah Sands, will conclude on Tuesday at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters under the auspices of Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqiyah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism.
Four Omani desert travelers and participants, in addition to the work team and sponsors will be honored during the concluding ceremony which includes a photography exhibition as well.
Ahmed bin Harib al- Mahrouqi, one of the four desert travelers said that the concluding ceremony will be held on two consecutive days.
The camels' caravan will travel on Monday from Al Khoudh crossing Al Mawaleh South till the Ministries District in Al Khuwair.
He pointed out that on the occasion of concluding the journey, a Bedouin tent will be set up for one day at the space between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Tourism.
The tent will be open for the public to get updates on the Bedouin life, drink coffee and collect photographs.
A number of booklets and tourism handouts will be distributed onto the tent's visitors.
The 2nd version of the desert caravan initiated from the Wilayat of Bidiyah in North of A'Sharqiyah on December 15th.
The caravan travelled for a total of 50 km in the desert passing by Sama Al Areesh camp, Sama Al Wasil Camp and Desert Night Camp and was greeted warmly by tourists.
