Muscat: Shahrukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, is flying to Muscat today, after fellow actor Amitabh Bachchan fell ill ahead of a promotional event.
Khan, a stellar star of Indian cinema, will be joined by actors Prabhu Ganesan, Nagarjuna, Shivraj Kumar and Manju Warrier at the opening of a chain of jewellery stores.
They will open three showrooms of Kalyan Jewellers as part of its foray into Oman.
Kalyan Jewellers brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan was supposed to come to Muscat but has fallen ill. “Our brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan has taken ill and expressed his inability to attend the launch of Kalyan Jewellers in Muscat today. On behalf of Kalyan Jewellers, we wish him a speedy recovery.
“We deeply appreciate the kind gesture of Shahrukh Khan to attend the launch ceremony of Kalyan Jewellers in Muscat later today at the request of TS Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers.
Khan will be landing in Muscat this afternoon and will join our brand ambassadors Manju Warrier, Prabhu Ganesan, Nagarjuna and Sivaraj Kumar and inaugurate all the three showrooms in Al Mabaelah, Ruwi and Baushar,” the jewellers said in a statement issued on Friday morning.
All the three showrooms will be launched on 29 December, 2017 at Al Ma’abelah, Ruwi and Baushar in Muscat.
