NBO customers to fly the skies with Etihad Airways

Muscat: The National Bank of Oman (NBO) signed a one-year partnership agreement with Etihad Airways giving the bank’s customers preferential rates on airfares to 35 destinations across all six continents. Available from April 2018, customers who book on the Etihad Airways website using their credit or debit cards, will enjoy 10 per cent off economy and business class on non-promotional fares, and 5 per cent additional discount on the seasonal promotional fares.
Khalil Al Hedaifi, Deputy Chief Retail Banking Officer said, “This partnership with Etihad Airways gives our cardholders the ability to not only discover new places, but also to enjoy great value for money. With the summer-vacation season approaching, we know families, couples and individuals will want to make their holiday plans, and will search for affordable yet memorable getaways.”
“NBO cards allow our customers to use their cards securely, seamlessly, and hassle-free. We believe the high-end services provided by Etihad Airlines will elevate our clientele banking experience at NBO,” he added.
“We are expanding the number of our point-of-sale terminals in Oman and have taken measures to establish payments infrastructure and incentives with retailers to promote and encourage cards-usage,” he said.
Hassan Al Yousef, General Manager of Etihad Airways in Oman, said, “Operating in Oman for the last 12 years, we have come to understand the Omani traveler better. We wanted to offer them the opportunity to travel to countries that are on their bucket lists.”
“The agreement with NBO underpins our vision of connecting Omani passengers to the globe. It gives customers no limits to visit 35destinations across the Etihad Airways global network including the Indian Subcontinent, Asia, Europe and North America,” he added.
In addition to exceptional offers on airfare, NBO cardholders are also eligible to a number of additional benefits and rewards including access to airport lounges all around the world, free travel insurance, special offers on car rentals, luxury hotels, and dining options. Customers will also benefit from collecting Nuqati points which can be redeemed to pay for mobile phone bills, top ups, credit card bills, utility bills, purchase of flight ticket and hotel bookings.
