Muscat: The National Business Centre (NBC), which falls under the umbrella of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), on Monday, signed an annual contract with Najd Accounting Consultancy and Auditing for services related to commercial transactions and contracts for entrepreneurs and incubated companies.
Through this contract, the financial accountant will be based at the NBC and the company will design and update the accounts directory, accounting cycle, and commercial and accounting records for all transactions related to operational, investment and financing activities in accordance with the legal and commercial requirements in the Sultanate.
The company shall also perform the counting of funds and debts of the incubated companies at the beginning and end of each fiscal period; produce accounting reports (balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement) by the end of each month and during the beginning and end of each fiscal year; and advise companies on the accounting of transactions, commercial contracts and financial reports during the contract’s period.
The company also provides other services once the scope, terms and duration of implementation are agreed upon by the team. Additionally, the incubated companies may also agree with the consultant individually to provide additional services other than those listed in the annual contract.
This contract comes in line with the efforts undertaken by the NBC to offer an ideal environment for entrepreneurs in the Sultanate. NBC was launched by the PEIE at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat to offer promising Omani entrepreneurs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures.
The centre provides a premier platform for Omani entrepreneurs by offering business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office space, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
