Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee resigns

Muscat: The Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) has announced that Chairman Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Zubair resigned his position as OOC Chairman at a meeting held yesterday.

Following the meeting, the Board of Directors expressed its utmost appreciation to Sheikh Khalid for the strenuous endeavors he has made during his tenure as OOC Board Chairman. The Board emphasised that Oman Olympic Committee has made considerable achievements and positive trends over the past years within the scope of its duties and the Olympic Charter in the best interest of Omani sport.

The Board highly assesses and recognises the sports career of Sheikh Khalid Al Zubair and his diverse experiences and knowledge in the field of sports which he has efficiently demonstrated over the past years in support to Omani sport and athletes.
